We like our toys here in Yellow Brick Media, and we like to have them all good and tested before we offer them to clients. So when we purchased a brand spanking new EyeDirect system from the States we thought who better to test it out on than the crazy brunch of really excitable, energetic and enthusiastic kids of Smarty Pants Montessori! For more information on the EyeDirect system and working with children or people not used to cameras just Google it. But basically it’s really cool.

Enda J O’Dowd, editor and visionary, wanted to document the last day of business* for one of Dublin’s most treasured shops, The Doll Hospital & Teddy Bear Clinic on George’s Street Dublin. So Yellow Brick Media went to met Melissa & Chris Nolan, and all their friends.

*Happy Ending Alert!!! – After an enormous amount of public support and media interest, and after 3 weeks of closure, the Doll Hospital & Teddy Bear Clinic were offered a new home.

Images from a recent cycling/camping holiday around South Wexford. Áine’s family were late arrivals to Co. Wexford so there are still corners of the county she hasn’t yet seen. Her goal was to reach The Saltees and take some stunning wildlife photography. Of course that never happened. She says the views from The Kilmore Quay Hotel & Bar were quite lovely that time of year.

In 2006 Áine travelled to Sri Lanka to work alongside locally-run charity groups in the rebuild of the south coast of the island. It was a life-affirming / changing experience, and one whose importance has been extremely difficult for her to articulate, at least in words.
